Meet the Team Part 4: Callum Doolan-McCullough, New H&S Advisor

As a team of Health & Safety Advisors with a host of specialist areas of expertise, KVF offers best practice advice that encompasses legal & moral obligations with the added benefit of our years of experience across a diverse field.

It's no secret to success that there's huge strength in sharing expertise and we love when we can add experienced members of staff to our KVF team. As a small but growing business, our team of Advisors are hugely valued by both our internal team and our portfolio of clients, so we hope you enjoy getting to know a little more about the people behind the names.

Next up in our Meet the Team series, is Callum Doolan-McCullough, Health & Safety Advisor, who joined us earlier this month and so we invited him to tell us a little more about his bakcground:

Callum Doolan-McCullough (South-East UK)

"Having spent the last 20 years working in Facilities Management, Property Maintenance and Construction in predominantly supervisory and managerial roles, I joined KVF in June 2024. I actually started my career as a painter & decorator, going on later to qualify as a plumber and have been lucky enough to pick up a few other skills along the way.

Health and safety has always been a constant focus throughout my career and something I’ve always had a keen interest in, particularly in the last 10 years, working most recently as a Health & Safety Advisor to a number of businesses in across a range of industries. These ranged from medical, dental and educational workplaces to high-risk areas that dealt with trauma, decomposition, sharps, pests and a host of other things that have the ability to put you off your food!

I hold NEBOSH, IOSH and NCRQ qualifications in safety, an IOSH teaching qualification and various other (although not as interesting) safety certificates. I’m also a qualified Portable Appliance Tester. and my background in facilities management helps me to understand the often-conflicting priorities placed on workplaces.

Away from work, I’m only slightly less boring! I’m a big music lover and have been playing the guitar for nearly twenty years. I also have a keen and active interest in science, specifically human biology and have a qualification in cellular and molecular biology from the university of Whitireia."

We are privileged to welcome Callum to the KVF team and are particularly keen to showcase his practical application of regulatory requirements across a host of workplaces. You will probably start to spot some of his Toolbox Talks on our Blog and you can also keep an eye out for him visiting sites completing audits, too. Please feel free to ask any questions you think Callum can assist you with to keep your workplaces safe and secure.

Stay safe, stay positive and please remember that KVF are here to assist you.
